Another week another chance to meet one of our valuable team members here at RSPCA Sunderland, Hartlepool and South Tyneside Branch. And who better than one of our longest standing trustees.
David Entwisle has been a trustee for our branch for 10 years, for 5 of those years he even steered the branch as Chairman before stepping down.
After adopting rescue cats for most of his life he thought what better way to give back to society during his retirement than join his local RSPCA branch.
David has a background in finance administration and in his owns word ‘70 plus years of common sense’ so he is a great help to us not only on the business side of things but also has a passion for all things animal.
His hope for our branch area is to make sure that all domestic animals are microchipped and as many cats neutered as possible, also that animals in need are treated quickly and respectfully.
David says that ‘Animals, both domestic and wild sometimes need assistance. This can be because of human behaviour, or natural problems. Animals need the same care and attention as humans, and sometimes immediate help’ it is this belief that has ensured he has continued his work here with us at RSPCA Sunderland, Hartlepool and South Tyneside branch.
Our branch could not operate without our volunteers who donate hours of their own time. David hopes that we will only get stronger as a Branch and recommends volunteering because while it helps animal welfare in your local area it can also be personally rewarding.
If you feel you could donate any of your time to volunteering with us here at RSPCA Sunderland, Hartlepool and South Tyneside Branch get in touch!
